Privacy
The community hub is where Cluepuff Adventures players share the levels they make. It keeps as little as it can, and nothing that says who you are.
What the hub keeps
- Your player: a random id the game was given, a maker name (made up by the game, or one you typed) and the look you chose.
- The levels you share: the level itself, its name and its numbers.
- Your drafts: levels you save to your account to finish later, kept privately: nobody else sees them.
- Your progress: once you're signed in, the levels you finished in the story, the time played and falls in each, and the puzzle pieces you found, so they follow you to your other devices. Kept privately.
- How plays go: when a level was started and finished, how long it took, checkpoints reached and falls, your likes and your reports. These make a level's numbers and help its maker.
- Your platform account, hashed: if you sign in with Google Play Games or Steam to share levels, the hub keeps only a one-way hash of that account's id, so your maker stays yours on every device. The id itself is not kept.
What it never asks for
- No e-mail address, no real name, no password, no birthday, no location. When the game asks how old you are, the hub keeps only whether you're 13 or over.
- No chat, messages or comments: players can't write to each other.
- Internet addresses are only held in memory for a few minutes, to stop floods of requests. They are not stored.
This website
It runs no trackers or ads. It sets a cookie only when you sign in on your account's page, to keep you signed in for 30 days; signing out takes it away. Links to the stores carry a tag saying they came from here, so the stores can count visits from this site.
Taking it all away
The game can erase everything the hub keeps about you: your player, your levels, your drafts, your plays, likes and reports (Community ▸ You ▸ Delete my account).
You can also delete your account on this website, without the game: sign in with a code from the game or through Steam, then press Delete my account. Or write to us at the address in the game's settings and we will do it for you.
One thing stays when a player we banned deletes their account: a one-way hash of the platform account they had linked (never its id), so a ban can't be undone by deleting the account and starting over. Everything else goes, as for anyone.
